About Daniel Wood PGA
Qualifying as a PGA teaching pro in 2011, was just the beginning for me. I love working with golfers of all levels to help them to maximise their potential and I feel I’ve developed a way of explaining the intricacies of the golf swing and the techniques required to successfully manage your way around a golf course, that puts people at their ease and frees them up to learn and develop.
I started playing golf when I was 5 years old and enjoyed an amateur career that resulted in me winning both my club’s Open Championship and Club Championship in 2007 before going on to turn Professional.
My Professional playing career has been a little up and down with the Highlights being a Win in 2011 Insch Pro-Am and seven top 5 finishes, must notabiliy the 3rd place in the 2016 Deer Park Masters (-5).
Despite a lack of time, I feel it’s important that I continue to play some professional tournaments, so I intend to balance my teaching, pro shop management, practice and Scottish PGA Tour events carefully, so that I remain on top of my game on all fronts.
